Stitching update

Good morning everyone. I finally have an updated picture of my Bed and Breakfast. I am so thrilled with it. It is looking good.

I am stitching away on this as fast as I can. Ornaments are almost ready for me to take a picture of and post but not quite yet.

I am finished Christmas shopping and am so glad that it is done. I just need to get stocking stuffers for the kids stockings, and that is it. If I don't get to post before Christmas, I hope that you all have a good holiday. I think that I will get to post, I am off for two whole weeks and that is a good thing.

Thanksgiving Day

I hope that everyone's Thanksgiving was a good one. As you can see mine was nice and quiet. Justin wanted everyone to see him. Other than that we ate lots of turkey and then came home and watched movies. LOL. I hope that everyone has a wonderful holdiay week.

I haven't posted in a while, it has been crazy around here, but things have settled down around here, and I can actually stitch some this morning, which is nice. I feel like Bed and Breakfast is collecting dust.

I haven't tried the dying of the fabric yet, will do that this weekend, and let everyone see what it looks like when I am finished. I can't wait to try it.

I have been scrapbooking also, so that is one thing I know that I have accomplished around here.

Well I am off to get some much needed stitching done, and will have a picture for you I hope tomorrow.

It has beeen a looooooong time.

I am so sorry that it has taken me for forever to post. I have been really busy with work, kids, and cheerleading, and lastly my Mary Kay business.

Things here are good, and the kids are good. I haven't stitched, until last night, and plan to sit and stitch here shortly, then off to Mary Kay meeting. I need to clean my son's room, so maybe I will do that before I go and sit and stitch. I don't think that it will take to long. I really hope not, but we will see.

Bed and Breakfast is coming along, and Page 2 is almost finished. So I am hoping that I can get it done, before tomorrow. I want to try and get it done tonight. We will see, if not I can stitch on it this week and this weekend.

I forgot to include my link to my MK website, so here it is it is www.marykay.com/jwall2415. I hope that you all enjoy!. This is a good time to start on some Christmas shopping, and there are some things that are perfect for stocking stuffers.

Well off to get son's room clean and then sit and stitch.

Stitching again

I finally am able to sit down and do some stitching tonight. It has been a while, and it is feeling pretty good to sit down and stitch.

Things have been really busy, and I just never seem to have time to sit down and stitch or think, which is not good. But I am stitching tonight.

The kids are doing well. Miranda is taking dance lessons, she really loves it. Ariel is still cheering away. Justin is along for the ride. He is happy with whatever is going on. Just so he gets to be in the rush of things.

I have become a Mary Kay consultant and love it, so that is why my life is kind of busy. I enjoy doing this. It is slow starting, but that is okay.

Well that is all for now, I cna't believe I haven't posted since August. Well off to get some more stitching done.

School has started

School is in session. Yippee!!!!!! I am so glad. LOL. I think I am the only one in this house who is happy that school is back on. The kids are not happy, but they are glad that they aren't bored.

Stitching will have to wait until next week. Due to the fact that I am so tired and the first week is usually the one that is the hardest.

I do have my Bed and Breakfast sitting and waiting for me though. I will hopefully get to that on Sunday night or Monday.

Other than that, everyone is fine here, and we are doing well. My class is just wonderful this year, we have a couple of children who are a little mess, but that is to be expected.

Well off to go and chat with some friends and then off to bed.

Stitching update

Here is the long awaited picture of Bed and Breakfast. I really am glad, I finally got my stitching groove back. I am happy with the way it is turning out. I think it will be done for Christmas. Let's us hope and I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Other than that things here are going smoothly. School starts in two weeks, but I go back next week, so I am going to spend as much time as I can on stitching, so I can make a little bit of a bigger dent in it. It is so nice to be able to sit and stitch again.

Miranda my middle daughter is going to be starting dance lessons this school year. She can't wait. She is going to be taking Hip Hop. She is really excited about it. My mother is going to be paying for it, so she can't wait to start. I am pretty excited for her.

Well that is if for now, off to finish cleaning up the house and to get some more stitching done.

Catching up

I can't believe that it has been almost two months since I have blogged. Well that is got to change.

I haven't really done much stitching, been so busy and all that I just never seem to have the time. By the time I think of doing it I am so tired.

Let's see where do I start. I am having my wisdom teeth pulled, and the first extraction is on the 18th of this month. I am glad that they are going to be out of my mouth. These things have caused me nothing but pain.

The kids are doing well, and staying busy. Ariel is busy with her cheerleading squad. There has been two camps that she has been attending over the summer, so she is really busy. Miranda and Justin are just busy running back and forth with me. LOL.

Stitching wise, I really havent' done much of it, but I am planning to have a movie day and sit and stitch on my Bed and Breakfast. I feel lost not stitching, but I am hoping to make up for it and get a lot of stitching done. It would really be nice.

I was working from home, but had to stop due to my getting ready to have my teeth pulled. I didn't think it would be a good idea to try and work from home and all that while recovering from home. I know it sounds like I am having major surgery, and no I am not, but I have a very low threshold for pain, and well I know I won't be in a good mood to do anything at all.

I hope this finds all my stitching friends well, and now I am off to sit and stitch the rest of the day away. Have a good day all.

Good morning

I do not have an update picture of any stitching, but will have one this weekend. I have been trying to stitch with everything going on here.

I have been very busy cleaning out the girl's room. It was a mess, and that is an understatement big time. I asked the girls why in the world do they let their room get this messy, and they just shrugged their shoulders. Well no more. I have gotten the room cleaned out, the next step is their closet, and I don't know if I want to go in there at all. I don't know what is in there.

Then Ariel, my oldest is starting her mess again, thinking that she can do what she wants when she wants. I put an end to the very quickly. She is a little peeved at me, but that is life.

We are still alive here, and kicking. I promise to have an update picture of some stitching. It will probably be Bed and Breakfast, since that is what I am working on this week. I am doing rotation again, so next week is Season's Greetings.

Today I have to work at 11. I am not sure if I will get to stitch or not, we will see. I am hoping to tonight, when I get home.

That is it for me today. Have a good day

School is out

Yesterday was the last day of school, and the last day of work for me. I was so happy in a way. I will miss the kids, but I know I will see them next year as they head off to the first grade. It was really hard in a way. There were a couple that I kind of took under my wing, and will miss a lot. On the other hand I was happy, I needed the break, and I am glad it is here. I can get so much needed stitching done, which will be nice. The only real school thing I am doing is taking Ariel to cheerleading practice, and that is two nights a week. She is doing well with it.

Speaking of Ariel, I am not sure if I posted this on the blog on not, but Ariel had a scuffle at school with another girl. Well both girls were sent home. Ariel wasn't suspended, but the other girl was. The girl will not leave her alone. She has called her and texted her some very nasty texts. I have called this girl's cell phone and asked to speak to her father. The bad thing is that this girl's father is completely oblivous to what this girl is doing. He has no idea. I never got an answer from the father. She then in turn used Ariel's best friend's cell phone yesterday and texted Ariel. Well I called the cell phone to talk to Sonya the one who owns the cell phone, and this girl hung up on me. It seems that they think they can get under Ariel's skin which they are doing a pretty good job of. I told Ariel that I wanted the cell phone, and that if this girl did call I would take care of it. It is just stupid. I did tell Ariel to not worry about it, and that if it kept going on, then I would take some kind of action against the girl.

Stitching wise, I did get some stitching done last night, on Bed and Breakfast. Going to sit and do some stitching today, and just relax and chill. House cleaning can wait one more day. I need one day to just sit and stitch away, without having to rush somewhere later.

I do have some things planned for the summer, but not a whole bunch of things. If it keeps up with the heat the way it has, I won't be doing a whole heck of a lot.

Well off to get dressed, as I am still in my pjs, and straighten up the house, and then stitch.

New stitching pics

Good morning all. Here is the long awaited picture of Season's Greetings. I know that it isn't much, but it is coming along. I ran out of DMC 794, but I am getting some more. Thank goodness. I really need it. That is my son's hand in the bottom of the picture. He was being funny this morning.

I was sent a wonderful RAK from Chris Wilson. She sent me a Mystic that I have been trying to save my pennies for, and well I was so excited. My daughter Ariel was also, as this is the one that she wanted. It is called Egyptian Princess. I almost fell out in the floor. So you know what that means time to add it to rotation. Chris really made my day. Well off to work. Have a good day.

Sunday update

It is really hot here today. I am trying to stay cool, but that is hard with no AC. They need to come and turn it on.

Things here are going well. My oldest daughter Ariel made the cheerleading squad at her school, she is very excited. After practice the other night, we ended up taking her to the ER, she was dropped 5 times by her bases. She is the flyer, so they have to catch her, well.... they did, but they dropped her. The last time she was dropped she landed on top of someone's head, thank goodness she didn't break her ribs like we thought she had done. They are just bruised, but she is feeling a little better, and still a little sore, but she is hanging in there.

Stitching wise, I haven't had much time to stitch at all lately, but today I am going to sit and stitch and get some much needed stitching time in. I will probably do a movie marathon, who knows.

I will have a picture of Season's Greetings for everyone hopefully tonight.

Well off to get some stitching and laundry done.

New picture

Here is the updated picture that I have been promising of Bed and Breakfast. I am going to put this aside for the week, and start on Season's Greetings. I know I did that with Country Comforts, but well, that is the way I am lol.

Bed and Breakfast is really coming along. I am so pleased with the way it is turning out. Off to start some stitching, have a good night.

I think I will have a dairy farmer in the family

These are some of the pictures from the field trip yesterday. I definitely think he really loved the dairy farm. So maybe he is going to be a farmer. He had so much fun. He had so much fun petting the calf. I have to say he did pretty good. He played a bunch of games and won every one of them. It was just to cute.

I just wanted you all to see. Have a good day.

Stitching update and update on life

Here I am! LOL. I have just been so wiped. But things here are going well. Sorry I haven't posted I just wanted to relax and kind of vegetate for awhile. I needed it.

I haven't done much stitching, but I did last night. It wasn't enough to take a picture of it, but that is okay. I am going to make sure I get a picture taken this week. I am going to start rotation again. I am going to rotate between Bed and Breakfast and then another Mystic that is called Season's Greetings, but I am going to wait until tomorrow night to start on it. I have set a goal to finish the first three pages. I did pretty good with the last goal that I had like that for Country Comforts. I need to work on that one also. It has become a UFO. I don't know how that happened, but I think it did when I started working on Bed and Breakfast for my father. I just need to learn to rotate and keep to it. So I am going to set a UFO week up for myself and work on it and on Rose Garden. I want to get that finished also. I need some finishes here.

Ariel my oldest daughter tried out for cheerleading at her high school, and she made it. I was so happy for her, that she and I were both crying. The only problem is that it is so darn expensive. She needs $290.00 by May 28th. I thought I would pass out. I am going to try and get it for her. She is so psyched about it, that I want her to do well, and I don't want to let her down.

Miranda is doing well, she made the honor roll at her school, she was so excited. I told her it should feel good all the studying that she does.

Justin is going on a field trip to a farm today, we get to watch cows being milked. Not my favorite thing in the world, but he is excited, only because Mommy is going and his class is going at the same time.

I will have pictures of that for everyone later tonight. Now I am off to work and field trip. Have a good day all.

Stitching update May 4

It has been a while since I posted a picture, and I know I promised, sorry it has taken me so long to get one taken. But here it is. It is really looking nice. I have the first page completed and am working on the second page now. I am thrilled with its progress.

I am so enjoying stitching this. I really am thrilled with this.

Everything is going better here. I feel more relaxed and am catching up on my stitching.

I am going to go to the community college instead of the college that I was going to. I think it will be a little bit better than where I was going. We will see.

Well off to get some more stitching done on Bed abd Breakfast.

My update

Well here we are again, no stitching progress pictures. I am sorry. I will have one tomorrow. I did finish the first page of Bed and Breakfast tonight. It is really looking nice.

I just want to thank everyone for their wonderful comments and support about college. I have decided to take a semester off, and get back on track. I didn't want to do this, but I needed to, for personal reasons. Mainly I just felt like I was being pulled in so many different directions.

Topping that off I got into a little depression over something so minor that I felt like I just wanted to unsub from all my groups. I had a pity party for myself, but I do feel so much better. Thanks to some good stitching friends. You all are the best.

Not only am I taking the semester off, I am going to enroll into another college in the summer, and go from there. The college that I am attending right now, does not have the best instructors in the world, so I am going to the local community college. I have really thought long and hard about this so I feel 100% better.

Right now I am focusing on myself and my kids, and my stitching. I think that will help me a whole lot.

Sorry for the blah post, and vent.

Well I am off to bed, and will post pictures of Bed and Breakfast.

Weekly update

Good morning! Well this is Bed and Breakfast as of the 10th. I am so pleased with it. It is coming along. It is about 7 percent done, I can't show that on my percent bars, so it is still showing 5 percent, but it is coming along.

Today I am going to clean the house, and then sit and stitch and vegetate all afternoon. I think I need it. It has been a long week here.

I will bring you up to speed. Well I have been fighting with the management of my apartment complex for about two months, that I didn't owe them any back rent, when they said that I did. Well after going rounds with them, and my attorney, they told my attorney on Thursday night, that they were going to dismiss the case yesterday in court. Well I was so happy, but...... they only way that she would have it dismissed is if I showed up in court yesterday, if I didn't show up, I was going to have to pay the money that she claimed I owed. Well I was not very happy. Nonetheless, I went to court, and it was dismissed, and I don't owe them anything, which I didn't in the first place. I was so stressed, that I had a bad pain in the side of my neck for a whole week.

I am still going to look for another place, I am trying to find a house with at least 4 bedrooms or 3 bedrooms with a den, so that I can have the den or last bedroom for a craft room/office. It would be so nice. My parents have been asking any friends to look and keep them informed.

On the home front besides all that, things are going well. I didn't go to all my classes last week, due to all the drama with the management, but that is okay, my professors were very understanding.

Now today I am stitching and enjoying myself. I am trying to decide if I want to do a movie marathon or what I want to do. That part is still up in the air. We will see. Right now the kids are watching cartoons, and I will stitch and listen to my IPOD.

That is all for now, off to stitch.

Stitching update April 7

Well another week has gone by, and off to work today. It has been a busy week, but a good one. My oldest will be 15 tomorrow, she is so excited about it. I am sort of. I can't believe she will be 15. She is growing up so much. We had her party yesterday, but no pictures. She blew out the candles to fast for me to get a picture. But that is okay, she had a good day.

Stitching wise, I did work on a bit of Bed and Breakfast. I think this will be the last week, I work on this. I need to work on Country Comforts next week. I am missing my quilts. LOL. But they are both looking nice, and I am excited about doing this one for my dad. He asked me yesterday what I was stitching, I had to fib and tell him something else. He has no idea that Bed and Breakfast is for him, and I forgot to hide it.

I think he will love it.

Other than that, just another week, and off to work and college, and all that good stuff. I will be off next Friday, so I can sit and relax, before going to my all day scrapbooking crop on the 19th. I can't wiat, one day away from the kids. It will be so nice. lol. I am bad.

Well time to fix the kids some breakfast. Have a wonderful day.

Bed and Breakfast April 3

Sorry that the picture is a little blurry. My son was asleep on the couch and I didn't want to wake him up by turning on the light.

This is as of last night, it is really looking like a picture. I can't wait to see what it looks like after tonight.

Not a whole lot going on here, just trying to relax. I didn't go to class last night, I was just tired and wanted to relax and take a break, so I stayed home.

I am still looking for another apartment, that is tedious in itself, but I am not going to stop until I find one.

Other than that it is really quiet here. Not a whole lot more to report today.

Stitching update

This is Bed and Breakfast after a week. As you can see the trees are starting to show. Sorry that it is blurry, I jiggled the camera by accident. It is really coming along.

I haven't started my Christmas picture yet, but hopefully will get to soon. Right now I am concentrating on getting ready for my oldest daughter's birthday which is in a week. She will be 15. I can't believe that she will be that old.

Things are better here, I am still looking for another apartment. Renting a home is not an option, I called about one the other day, and they were asking $1200 dollars a month for a 4 bedroom. I thought I was going to pass out. I am not giving up.

I went scrapbooking Friday night. It was so fun. I haven't touched my scrapbook in almost 4 months. So it was nice to get some pages done. Now to take more pictures for it. LOL. But yes it was nice. My friend who held it is a Creative Memories consultant, and she called me and asked me if I still wanted to come, so I did, and then today I ended up giving in and ordering 26.00 worth of products, which is not bad considering. I needed some things anyway for the scrapbooks.

Classes are going well, getting ready to go and read a chapter that I need to read for psychology. I have to do an outline for the whole chapter. That is no fun really, but I am really liking the class. I have other homework too, that I need to get done, but I don't think I will do it in one night. To much work. LOL.

Well that is all for now, and I will go and hit the hay.

Monday, March 24, 2008

New picture

I have put a picture of what Bed and Breakfast will look like when it is finished. I should have a updated picture of my stitching progress this afternoon, or tonight.

Update on life and stitching

Okay, it has been a while since I have posted, and I feel just awful. This week has been one that I wouldn't want anyone to go through.

I switched telephone providers and so I called my ISP, to tell them that they needed to switch my DSL line to that phone company, well it is going to take a week. In the mean time I am using dial up :(. It isn't any fun at all.

Then the management of where I live wants to try and kick me out, but she can't because the money that she says that I owe was already paid, but she can't find it. I am really ticked. I showed her the receipt, and she said that she believes me, but she said she has to find the rest of the payment. But I am currently making other arrangements to find another place.

Stitching wise, I worked on Country Comforts last week, and this week I am working on a new Mystic Stitch called Bed and Breakfast. It is for my father. He loves Bed and Breakfasts. THe reason is that when my grandparents sold their home, the person that bought it turned it into a bed and breakfast. It is really neat. I do want to get a picture of the house and stitch that. So my mother is going to see if she can go down there and take the picture, but for now I am stitching the one I already have for my father.

I have been so stressed and so busy around here, that I couldn't deal with it, but thanks to some wonderful people I took their advice. They told me to keep stitching and that it is relaxing, so that is what I am doing. I was so fed up with people from the ISP, and from the office here at my apartment complex, that I didn't know what to do. I thought I was going to scream. It was really rough there for awhile. But I am better, and am dealing with it better now.

Today I am going to stitch, before I have to go to work, and then tomorrow we are having Easter at my parents, and then I am coming home and stitching for the rest of the day. I need it big time. It is really helping.

Well I am off, daughter needs to use the phone.

Classes are going well

They are going well so far. I was a little nervous about taking 6 classes in 4 nights, but I seem to be handling it okay. I have two nights that I only have one class, and they are early classes. I am enjoying them.

I have done some stitching on Country Comforts, it is really coming along. It is nice to have two nights out of the week, that I can stitch, especially when I have early classes.

Well everyone here is fine, my oldest daughter is the only one here that has a stomach virus. I have been staying away from her, I don't want to get sick. My boyfriend has been a big help this week, with her being sick, he has come and watched the other two while I have gone to class.

Well that is all there is to report for now. Have a good day everyone.

Weekly stitching update a day early

Hi everyone, lol! Well this week has been kind of laid back for me. I am now getting ready for classes, which start on Monday night. I am excited about starting a new semester.

We had state testing this week, those poor kids, were really fidgety, and tired. It is hard for little 5 and 6 year old kids to take a test, everyday. But they did well. I am so proud of them. Justin did well too. He isn't in my class, but I asked his teacher, and she told me he did very well.

Stitching wise, I haven't really done much stitching, but I am going to work on Country Comforts tonight. I want to make a dent in it. I did very well with my goals for this project. I wanted to complete the first three pages, and I have done that. It is looking nice. I can't wait to get it finished.

Rose Garden is coming along, as the new picture is in my previous post. I was hoping I would get it finished soon, but my goal for that has to be moved up. I hope to get it finished soon. I am loving how it is coming along though.

I still have this nasty cold, I felt just awful this week, and today I worked at second job, for three hours. They are cutting hours back today. I was supposed to work until 7 and got off at 2:30. It was nice. I came home and took a nap.

Now I am going to get some stitching done

Monday, February 25, 2008

Rose Garden update

Here is an update picture of Rose Garden. I am about 50 percent done with it. I have to say it is coming along rather nicely.

I am rather pleased with the way it is turning out.

On the home front, things are better with Ariel and her being nervous about going to school. I told her that she has nothing to worry about. She told me that she feels so much better.

I am miserable, I have a head cold, and it isn't any fun at all. I am taking medicine and taking my vitamins, so I feel a little better than what I did. But still a little miserable.

But I am fighting it hard as I can.

Back to the stitching front. I am thinking of adding my new Mystic pattern, but am not sure if I will or not. I haven't really decided, I think I am going to stick with the orginal plan and just stitch it on Sundays. Still debating that. We shall see, I can't wait to start it.

Sunday, February 24, 2008

Weekly update stitching and other

I have done some stitching, but not a whole lot. I have just been really tired, and had a really bad migrane yesterday, so I didn't do a lot around here at all.

I registered for the new semester, so next week I will have a free week that I can catch up on stitching. I still have Rose Garden out, but not any updated pictures of it, I am hoping to have one soon. I know I have promised pics, but I think I can get one taken this week, since I am not doing a whole lot. I am going to keep working on Rose Garden, since this week is for that. I haven't worked on Country Comforts at all. I have really hardly picked up a needle at all. That is just horrible, but what can you do life is just there and it happens.

I did get my new pattern from Mystic Stitch, it is called Season's Greetings, I am thinking that I will start it this coming weekend, and make one day that I can work on that. One of those ELF day things, where you work on holiday projects. I do have a tree skirt that I need to work on, but I need to get a stitching stand that can hold the q snaps, don't know where to find one of those at all. I will have to look around the internet for one. If anyone knows of where I can get a really nice one, that isn't expensive let me know.

Next week will be really crazy. I am taking six classes, and these are all in four days. I think I am insane. LOL. But I want to get as many credits done and over with that I can. I am taking pschylogoy. The spelling is really wrong, sorry. Can't spell this morning. That should be a interesting class. Where I will find the time to stitch once I start classes next week will be beyond me, but I am determined to find the time. I will need it to relax.

I don't have to work today, so I think I am going to watch some movies and stitch, and just vegetate and maybe do laundry. I really need to do that. But right now, I am just going sit and stitch away. I am almost done with page 5 of Rose Garden, and want to get that stitched, and start on page 6. Page 6 will not take long at all.

The kids are hanging in there, they are a little bored. Did have some drama with Ariel though. She watched an interview that her grandfather did on TV about gangs and them being in school. He is the superintendent of schools. Well she totally flipped out, so I called her school and asked the vice principal and the deputy to talk with her. She is upset about kids making fun of her, and saying that she is in one of the gangs because she wears blue alot, and she isn't. She is feeling a little better about it, but she still is a little nervous, which I understand.

Okay, I am done rambling, now I am going to sit and stitch for the rest of the day, only after I get some lunch for myself.

Thursday, February 21, 2008

Semester is over/ update on life

The semester is over, and the new one starts in two weeks. I go and register for the next semester tonight. I can't believe that I am going into my second semester. It is going to feel funny next week, not going to class, but I can relax and get some stitching caught up.

Things here are going well. Miranda had a wonderful birthday. She is 11, wow. I don't have any pictures, I forgot my camera, and my father hasn't sent me pictures that they took yet. Miranda got to her my father sing happy birthday to her. She really likes it when he does that. Of course he sang it like he was an opera singer.

I now have my own business on the side. I am so excited. I am doing Market America. I really love it. I am also going to sell Home Interiors again. I did it a long time ago, and just kind of got out of it, life got in the way. I hate it when that happens. I can't wait. It is going to be interesting trying to revolve my home business around life, work, kids, and college, but I am going to give it a try. It can't hurt. I know if things get to hectic, and crazy I can stop something, not college though. I have worked to hard for that.

It snowed last night, and it is supposed to snow tonight, and they are talking 3 inches here, but I could be wrong, I hear so many different things. I am just going with the flow.

I don't have any updated pics of stitching, but I will try to take one tonight, since I don't have class tonight.

I need to keep up more with my blogging, and posting my pictures, I forget what I have posted and what I haven't.

Well off to work

Weekly update a little late

I know this is a little late, but I have been busy working second job this weekend.

I stitched some this week on Rose Garden, should have a picture of it up tonight, I am hoping. It is coming along nicely.

Tomorrow is Miranda's birthday, she will be 11. I can't believe she will be that old. I told her she was getting to old. LOL. Pretty soon she will be a teenager. She already acts like one in some ways. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. She is excited about her party this afternoon, we are going to my parents house for her birthday, and my mom is making her spaghetti, so she is excited about that. I am taking the camera, so I will post pictures of that also.

I am hoping to do some stitching today, before we leave to go over there, I also have to type up a paper for school, that is due tomorrow, so that should be fun.

I plan to start on Country Comforts tomorrow. I am still waiting on my order from Mystic Stitch, I hope that it comes soon. I want to add that to rotation also.

I still need to get some charity stitching done, I am beginning to think I have to much stuff on my plate. LOL. I hope not.

Have a good day all, I am off to drink coffee, put dishes in dishwasher, and then stitch.

Day off

Well I wasn't expecting a day off today. It snowed last night, and school is closed today. So I am going to go back to bed, and then get up and clean the house, and do some other things, that I need to do, and then I am going to stitch.

We got 1 1/2 inches of snow, so I know what I am doing this afternoon, stitching away. I am working on Rose Garden this week, so I will hopefully make a nice dent in it today.

Now back to bed.

Weekly stitching and life update

I stitched on this for a bit last night, while watching the Grammys which was all that great. But I did make a pretty good dent in Country Comforts this week. Time to put this aside and work on Rose Garden.

Life has been okay this week, except for Justin being sick, but he is so much better now. He is back to his old self, and that is good.

Ariel feels better, at least she is acting like she is, she hasn't said if her throat hurts or not. So I am just going with the flow. Thank goodness Miranda and I haven't gotten sick, I am keeping my fingers crossed that she or I don't.

It is very cold here today, it is 29. Wow, yesterday it was in the 50s. This weather is crazy around here.

Well that is all for today. Now off to work.

Everyone is back up and running

We are all back in school. Justin is feeling a whole lot better. He went to school yesterday, and he did okay. I was a little worried, that he would spike a fever again, but he didn't, and he had a good day. Mommy was just being the worried mom.

I did get to stitch a little last night on Country Comforts, and started Page 3. It is really looking nice. I am thinking it is about 20 percent done, I hope so. I can never guess. LOL. I can't wait for this to get finished.

Ariel my oldest is still sick, she may have to get her tonsils taken out, and she isn't excited. She is a little anxious about it, but she is really worried, and I told her that there is nothing to be worried about. So we are waiting for the test results, to find out whether or not she needs them out or not. She went to school yesterday, but she stayed home again today, she told me that she didn't feel really well. I told her that was fine, so I will have to email her teachers to let them know.

Today is picture day at school, so I got the kids all ready and gussied up for their pictures. They are ready. I hate having pictures taken at school twice a year. It is a big pain.

Well off to work, will have a new picture soon of COuntry Comforts.

Update on son

Well we went to the doctor, and the doctor told me that Justin did start off with the flu, but now he has the start of an ear infection from the cold that he has had with the flu. He is allowed to go back to school on Friday, so that means one more day at home with Mommy, whom he is getting bored with. He wanted to go to school tomorrow, but the doctor told him that he couldn't. Justin was a little disappointed, but he is being a real trooper about the whole thing. The doctor gave him some medicine, and Justin told her that the medicine that she prescribed smelled like rotten eggs, we just laughed at the whole thing, but he is being a good boy and taking it, so he can get better.

I did manage to get some stitching done on Country Comforts tonight, and finished page 4, but didn't take a picture, will do that either tomorrow or Friday. It is really looking nice, and I love watching the scene unfold before me.

I did order a pattern from Mystic Stitch called Season's Greetings. It is a Christmas stitch, but I wanted it as I don't have any Christmasy stitching hanging up during Christmas, so I can't wait for it to come, and then to get started on it. My next thing is to find something for my 10 year old that has butterflies. HAED has some really nice ones, so I am going to let her look with me, and let her pick it out, and then that will be for her.

Well I am scooting off to bed.

Tuesday

Today I am home with two children that are sick, so I was able to put this picture on here. I was going to do it last night, but when you have two children that are sick at the same time with different things, it is hard to do much of anything.

Rose Garden is coming along nicely. I still can't say that it is 50 percent done yet, but it is getting there. I am happy with they way it is turning out. It will look nice when it is finished. I can't wait for it to be done.

My rotation seems to be working, whatever made me stop that is not good. I am glad that I started rotation back up again.

My oldest daughter and my son are home sick. Ariel's throat hurts and she is complaining that her ear hurts. I am thinking ear infection, even though I hope it isn't. Justin had the flu, he has been sick since Friday. He is home today, with a slight fever, but he seems to be doing better, he may go to school tomorrow. Miranda my middle daughter didn't want to go to school today, because the other two are sick, so she is home.

I got a credit card, I am being very careful with it, and am hoping that I can keep it. I am getting ready to go over to Mystic Stitch and order something, I am hoping to get something nice. Haven't really decided what I want yet, but I am going to look around. Don't want to pick something on the wish list, want to get something else, so I am going to look around, and look around on HAED.

Saturday

I can't believe it is Saturday. I have finished cleaning the house, except my room and haven't done the laundry. I will do that tomorrow. I am afraid to go in my room, not sure what I will find in there.

Now I will sit and stitch for the rest of the afternoon. I am working on my Rose Garden this week. So I am hoping to make a nice dent in it today. I will watch a movie, after my son is done watching Power Ranger Operation Overdrive. He and his Power Rangers. LOL.

I have two more weeks for this semester, then I will register for next semester, and I can't believe I am into my second semester. WOW!!!! It has gone by fast. I have done really well. I have a Power Point that I need to do for my computer class, so I will do that either Monday, I don't have it on my computer here at home. I also have a summary to do for the same class, so that is easy enough to do. Other than that I am ready for next semester.

It is really nice here. I think it is in the 50s, not sure. But it is nice outside, I may open the window and let some fresh air in. Other then that I am going to just sit and stitch away, between keeping peace in the house between my two daughters who are fighting like cats and dogs. But that is how they are. They will grow out of it.

Off to get some stitching done.

It is Friday already

Wow I can't believe how fast this week went by. That is a good thing. LOL. My last couple of weeks of college is going to be a crunch big time. Which is fine, then I get to register for next semester. I am so glad that I went back to school. It feels like just yesterday I started college. That is how well it is going.

No stitching at all this week, which I guess that is okay. But this weekend, I am making up for lost time. Tonight, I will stitch away. Tomorrow will be cleaning, and hopefully laundry, that depends on how I feel, then stitching. Sunday I will be stitching, and watching the Super Bowl. I don't like the teams that are playing that much, but I will watch it.

Well I am off to get ready for work.

Doing a happy dance today

I wasn't going to go to class last night, because I was really stressed about doing that presentation, well it went well. So then the professor said he wanted to give us our mid term exams. Okay, I failed at least that is what I thought. When he handed it to me. I looked at it, and well I GOT A B!!!!!!!!!! I was so happy. I have never done that well on a test. In high school, I didn't do well on exams, and tests, so last night, just made my night. I was excited beyond belief. I immediately called my parents, and they were happy. Ariel, my oldest looked at me and told me it was just a test. I told her, that was true, but this is the first test, in 20 odd some years that I have taken since high school.

I will find out the other scores tonight, but I just wanted to share this with you all.

Regular non stitching update

Wow, this week is going by fast. We have a new teacher in the class and she seems really good. She is really nice. I like her a lot. I did get mad yesterday at the principal. He comes to me, and tells me that since there is a new teacher, I need to be a team player. I am sitting there thinking, like I haven't been a team player for almost five years. I felt like taking my shoe off and hitting him over the head with it, I didn't. He is such a jerk.

As for the teacher, she is really good, as I said, she jumped right in yesterday and started teaching, couldn't ask for anything more than that. I am so glad that there is someone who is good enough to deal with our problem child. LOL.

I did do some stitching on my UFO last night. It is really looking good. Did about 20 stitches on it. I will have an update either Friday or Sat.

Justin my son is coming down with a cold, he has this drying cough, and it is really bothering me, and I have been considering keeping him home, but he doesn't have a fever, which is a good thing right now. I hope he doesn't get a fever.

Classes are going well, am nervous I have to do a presentation tonight, and I am not very good at those. LOL.

Well off to work.

Weekly Stitching update

I worked on this some yesterday and today. I really love how it is coming together. Page 2 is almost finished. I think next week I can say it will be 50 percent done. I will be doing a dance. It is so pretty, and I am loving the colors. Of course the greens are really getting annoying, with all the different greens that there are in the pattern. But I still love it.

Today was a much better day. I am not having as strong of cravings as I was. I am so glad. I did apologize to my daughter, and she is understanding, and she really is okay, now. We both have pretty bad tempers, so it isn't easy, we are going to try and not irritate each other.

I am so glad she is understanding. My son was all excited today, he got a new game for his XBox. So he has been in his room all afternoon. He was in heaven. It kept him out of my hair while I stitched, which was fine with me.

Well I am off to check emails, and then off to bed.

Thank you everyone

I just wanted to do this, even though I have been answering my comments, when you guys post.

Thank you so much for the wonderful support. I feel so much better than I did about an hour and a half ago. It is really hard, but I am doing it. The hard part is when I go to work today to my second job and when I get my 15 minute break, but I think I can do it. I am going to take my stitching and work on it in my car during my break. I think I am going to do that or take something small to work on just until it gets easier.

I didn't tell you, that it got so bad this morning, that I almost went through the trash can for a butt. EWWWWWWWWWWW. I stopped myself thank goodness.

I am sitting here stitching and so thankful for all the wonderful friends that you are and I couldn't do this without you. I did tell my kids and I did tell my boyfriend. He and I got a big water bottle and we put it out and put 10.00 dollars in it, that is the first step. That amount is what I spend on two packs of cigarettes. Not anymore, I will have stash money before long. LOL.

Thanks again, and big hugs to all of you. (((((())))))

Bad night

I had an awful night last night. I wanted a cigarette so bad, that I could taste it. LOL. Anyway, it was so bad, that every little thing set me off. Last night, my oldest daughter Ariel was goofing off and she threw something and it knocked my glass of iced tea over, it spilled onto my whole right side of my body, and onto my chair. I got up and well let's just say it wasn't pretty. She and I ended up in a yelling match that lasted for a good solid half hour. I feel so awful about it, and I know I was wrong to do that, it was an accident, and she didn't mean to do it, but I should have been okay, and not screamed. I am really upset about it, and I hope that she will forgive me soon. The kids and my boyfriend don't know that I quit smoking, I didn't tell them and I am not going to. I just need to figure out what I am going to do, so that the little things don't bother me so much, at least until I can deal with this.

This morning, I am really depressed, and upset, but I think I am okay. I still have a craving but it isn't as bad as it was last night. I think she is mad at me, and I know my boyfriend is trying to figure out what to do about last night. As in how to react to it. He just sat there and watched me go bonkers. LOL.

I hate those feelings, and I hate what happened. I was stitching when this happened, and well, maybe the cravings won't be so bad after last night. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Snow day

There is no school today, due to snow. It is really bad, the roads are the worst, we got about 1 1/2 inches of snow, but they closed schools, which is good. I am so glad that they did. The kids can now go out in the snow and have fun. LOL.

I plan to sit and stitch today sometime, and going to enjoy it. It seems that keeping busy is helping me with quitting smoking. I did break down and did buy a pack, but I have been pretty good about not smoking them. It is hard, but I have been trying to keep busy, and not think about it. When I bought the cigarettes, I wanted one sooooooooo bad, but when I got in the car, I didn't want to light it up. I didn't even open the pack. So the pack is still sitting in my purse, unopened. So I am kind of doing a happy dance for myself. I am having good days and bad. Wednesday was a bad day period, but yesterday was good, and that is a good thing. So I am doing pretty good so far.

Well I am off to go back to bed, since we don't have school today.

Want to quit smoking

Okay I have finally come to the realization that I need to quit smoking. I have tried it plenty of times before, but have always fallen off the wagon. I am at a loss here, as to what else to do, to quit. I am hoping that some of you can give me some ideas etc, on this. I was going to try that new pill, Chantix, but I can't afford it, even with my health insurance. So I am having to do this the hard way.

I am just tired of the smoke, and my kids are really getting on me about it. I also don't like when I am stitching, and smoking. So any help on this would be wonderful. The reason I want to do this, is that my both my grandfathers died from cancer and emphizema. So I want to do what is right, and be healthy for me and for my kids. Thanks for you help in advance.

Last day of Rose Garden

This is really coming together. I put in a few more stitches, before putting it aside to start on Country Comforts. I guess I can say it is about 45 percent stitched now.? But this is really looking nice.

Just got home from doing laundry at my mother's. I thought it was going to take longer, than I thought, but I was surprised. Now I need to get the clothes out of the car, and go and get my oldest daughter from my boyfriend's. She is babysitting today, so she got a break from me. Which was fine, it gave me a chance to get some things done, that I needed to do.

Now I get to straighten up the house, and fold the clothes, and then stitch. I hope. I want to get some stitching in tonight, before I have classes almost every night this week.

Well off to do the housework.

Hardly any snow at all

Well there was hardly any snow at all. The weather man said 1-3 inches and we didn't even get that, but I had fun watching it fall and stitching. It was so pretty. By the time I went to take a picture of it this morning, therer wasn't enough to make a difference at all. I so wanted a picture. That is okay.

Today is going to be another stitching day, and movie marathon. I want to make a big dent in Rose Garden. It is looking nice so far.

My daughter goes to see the WWE wrestling tournament tonight. I don't understand what she sees in that, but oh well she likes it. Not sure what the big deal is. Whatever makes her happy I guess.

Well I am off to get some stitching done.

Snow today

Woke up this morning with the news that we are going to get 1-2 inches of snow. I know what I am doing today. I am stitching. I am not leaving this apartment for anything. The snow hasn't started yet, but I keep looking out the window watching for it. I am like a little kid in a candy store. I am sitting here drinking my coffee and just keeping an eye out. I know the kids are going to want to play in it. I will probably take them out after the snow ends. Which will be tomorrow. My son is so excited about it. He wants to make a snowman so I know what I need to do.

I think I am going to just sit and stitch the day away, it will be a perfect day for it. I am hoping to have a better picture of Rose Garden for my blog, this is the last day to work on it for rotation, so I want to get as much stitched on it that I can. I just want to thank you all for the comments you have made about this. I am hoping to get this done by the end of month beginning of February, but I don't think that will happen at all. So I am going to shoot for the end of February beginning of March.

I am still trying to decide if I want this in my bathroom or not. I have had a couple of friends tell me that putting it in the bathroom was a bad idea, because the steam from the shower would ruin it. So if that is the case, I will need to decide where to put it instead. We will see.

Well off to watch for snow and get dressed and stitch.
