This is a progress is picture of Part 2. I am really enjoying this. I am very pleased so far with the results. It is coming together nicely. I am finding this to be a fast stitch for me, but I think that is because I am off for two weeks, and can sit down while the kids are watching movies or on the computer and stitch, and not be interuppted.

I can't do that today, because my oldest Ariel is sick with a stomach virus of some sort. She has been vomitting every five minutes and all that good stuff. I feel bad for her. My mother has the other two which is good. So if I can get Ariel situated, I will try and do some stitching. I am not really worried about the stitching today, because of her being sick.

Well I went to get my camera, and was short 49.00. I was so disappointed. I am hoping to get it on Monday after going for a doctor's appointment. The one I wanted is sold out, but I am going to try to find another one.

Well Ariel is calling me to come and help her. Happy Stitching!

Stitching Update Dec. 24

First I want to tell everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope everyone's Christmas is a wonderful day. We are just going to spend it here at home, and have a family Christmas. We have friends coming tonight, to exchange presents, and all that good stuff. Other than that it will be a quiet one.

Stitching update is here finally! I hope that you all can see this picture of Castles in the Air. Part 1 is finished and I started Part 2 last night. I had to start stitching in hand due to the beads. My qsnaps are in use for another project and I didn't want to take them off of that project. It has been a long time since I stitched in hand especially with a big piece of fabric like this. But I am enjoying stitching this.
I am thrilled with the way it is turning out.

Today I am going to stitch away until our friends come over and then hopefully do some stitching tonight. I have straightened up the house, and put dishes in dishwasher. The only rooms I haven't done are my room, and the kids room. I will wait til the weekend to do those, since I know there will be presents for them from Santa that will need to go in their room.

Well that is it for me. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and I will post another picture soon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope that everyone can see this. I fought with my camera all morning and I think I finally have a decent picture of Castles in the Air. It is really looking nice.

Today I am off work due to closing for snow. It is nice to sit and stitch, which I haven't done in a long time. I needed one day, to just sit and relax. I have been going non stop, and it seems like that is all I do. So this is a nice thing.

Well off to stitch somemore. Have a great day all

Weekly update

Sorry that it has been so long in posting. Just been tired and busy trying to get things done around here. The baby is coming on February 26, so I am busy getting things ready for him.

In the meantime I started another project. It is Castles in the Air, I am sorry that it is so dark. For some reason, when I took the picture with the flash, all that came out was a white picture, so I took the flash and turned it off. This is what I got when I took it without the flash. I will try and take another picture this afternoon. I was excited about starting this. It is in 24 parts, and I really like it so far. I think I got my stitching mojo back. I think I was getting tired of the drab colors of Egyptian Princess, but that is okay. I am going to try a weekly rotation between Castles and my Princess. We will see how it works this time. I never seem to want to stick to it, but I hope that i can this time.

It snowed here, and it is pretty, sorry no pictures. I didn't think about taking pictures. Just didn't feel like it. I am hoping that it stays around til Christmas. It would be nice to have a white Christmas. The kids are hoping that there is no school tomorrow, I told them we would see. It would be nice, need to relax a little. I have been going non stop since I got up yesterday. I plan to sit tonight and today and just relax and stitch. If there is no school tomorrow, I will do the same thing. I just hope the kids will leave the house cleaned up, they like to just leave everything on the floor or out and not put stuff away. KIDS!!!!!! What can I say.

Well I am off to work on stitching for a bit, and will post another picture later on.

It is Christmas in the Wall Household

Well it is up finally! A friend came and helped me to put up the tree. I have been neglecting getting it up and I am glad that I finally got it up. I have to say I think it looks better this year then it did last year.

I am going to make some ornaments for it. I have some on there already, but my goal is to have my tree nothing but cross stitch ornaments. I am going to Hancock's this weekend and see what kind of Christmas fabric I can find for the back of the ornaments. I am wanting to stitch some ornaments of angels also, I am searching for those. But all in all, I am pleased with the way this turned out. I have the house decorated up, but I didn't take pictures of it. That is one thing I will do tomorrow.

Progress update

Finally an updated picture of Egyptian Princess!. I am so excited about this. She is really coming along. You don't really know the actually progress of something until you look at the picture. I am truly impressed with my stitching . Mind you I am not being partial to myself but I think I did a pretty good job.
As you can see I finally finished page 2 and now I am on page 3. I hope that it doesn't take me almost 6 months to finish this page as it did for page 2. I am enjoying this coming together to much. Iam really thinking about rotation again, and bringing out Country Comforts and get that finished, since it is almost complete, but am still thinking about that. Not really sure, if I want to do that, I had a hard time keeping up with my weekly rotation. We will see.
Justin and I went on a field trip to the Baltimore Aquarium today He claimed that he didn't have fun. But, he did. (For some unknown reason, Iam not able to post the pictures, so I will do another post of the field trip). It won't let me post them here, so will do another post. We got to watch a dolphin show and it was awesome. I really liked it. They were just so cute.
It was a good field trip even though it rained, but now I am wiped out. LOL.
Now I am off to stitch and relax and also do school work.

Field Trip to Baltimore Aquarium

These are pictures from our field trip. Justin said he didn't have fun, but as you can see, he did. We saw the dolphin show and it was awesome. He and I had a lot of fun today.

Weekly update non stitching

I will have a stitching update tomorrow. But will tell you I am almost finished with page 2. Yippee!! Will have a picture tomorrow and will have to surprise you.

Well this week, has been a little busy and hectic. Ariel my oldest ha a cyst behind her left ear. She started getting severe headaches and I thought that they were migranes, so did she. I ended up taking her to the ER and they did a cat scan and found the cyst. They are not going to operate, but gave her antibiotics, and pain meds and told her to put hot compresses on it. Other than that she is fine. I was a little upset, because it took her so long to get her the cat scan. But I do understand, there were a lot of stroke victims that needed to be seen. Other than that she is hanging in.

Miranda doesn't have lice anymore, the poor thing. I felt bad for her, she was pretty upset all last week that she couldn't go to school. She told me that she felt nasty. I told her that these things can happen, and that from now on she just needs to be careful about who she lets borrow her brush. I don't think she will let anyone borrow her brush anymore period.

As for me, I am hanging in. Just tired. My next semester of classes start on Wednesday. I am excited, and a little worried, but it is for a good thing. It will cut back on stitching time, but I will not let that stop me from stitching. I want to get EP finished so that I can frame it for Ariel. She is watching my progress with anticipation.

Well that is it for now, but I will have picture tomorrow of EP

Stitching update

Hi everyone! Here is a new picture of Egyptian Princess. I took the picture with my phone only because I couldn't take this with my camera, because I can't find the cord to it. But I think that the camera phone takes a better picture anyway. I also should have taken it with the laptop off, instead of being on. But I didn't. I forgot to.
I am kicking butt on it, and I am pleased with it. So I am hoping that I can finally get page 2 done this weekend.
Things are doing good here. I am just tired. But I just wanted to post this picture before rushing out. But I will post a longer post this weekend.

It has been a while sorry

Sorry that it has been a while since posting. I have been busy with life and all that wonderful stuff there is. I do have a new picture of Egyptian Princess to show you. She is really coming together. I have been stitching on her like crazy for the past week. I am still going strong on her.

I am really enjoying this alot. Ariel is happy with it also. She can't wait until it is finished. I am hoping to have it done by her birthday in April. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be.

Wow!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone! A new picture is here! LOL. This time I have figured out how to make the camera focus, and not have the picture turn out blurry. I hope that you can see the progress from the last picture and this one. It is really coming along. I am almost done to the top part of her face, and it is really coming along nicely. I am so excited. I know that I said I would be done with page 2 by now, but I couldn't get to. I will tell you in a bit. It is really looking nice, and can't wait to see what she will look like when she has a face. I am so excited, and I am sitting on pins and needles while I am stitching away on it so I can see what she will look like.

The reason that I haven't been able to stitch, as much is that Ariel has decided that she wants to come back home for good. I am so excited. I cried, and so did Miranda. Justin was just like it is another day, so whatever. LOL.

We are getting along well, and I am glad. She is glad that she is home.

New Picture and update

Good morning! Here is a new picture of Egyptian Princess. Sorry that the picture is blurry again! I tried to get it in focus, but I am still playing around with the camera, so bear with me. She is coming along nicely, and you can tell that it is a princess now.
Today I plan to sit and do some more stitching on her. I have a couple of things that I need to do this morning, like clean up the house, dishes, and go get my son's prescription for his ADHD medication, but other than that, I really don't have that much to do in the way of work, or what ever. I feel like I am on a vacation, which is nice, I need it. LOL.
I am still contemplating whether or not to add one of my UFOS and start a rotation, but I can never keep up with it. I don't know. We shall see.
Justin and Miranda spent the day yesterday with their grandfather. They enjoyed that, and my dad is going to take Justin fishing. He has his own fishing pole and his own little spot on the boat. That gave him something to look forward to. He is really excited. He can't wait to go with grandpa fishing.

Stitching update

I didn't think that I was going to get to post a new picture of her at all. But I did, and have a new camera. This is what it looks like so far, and she is coming along nicely. Page 2 is going more smoothly than the first page, maybe that is a good sign. Maybe that will mean all the other pages will go at the same rate as this one.

It could also mean that I have more time during summer break to stitch, which is good. I am just thrilled with the progress I am making on this. Now to get page 2 finished. I can't wait to do that.

New Picture

Page 1 is finally done. I am so glad. I am doing a happy dance. Now I am onto page 2. Sorry that the picture is so blurry. I am not sure what the deal is with my camera. I think Miranda was playing with it, and when she did she did something with it.
Anyway, here is the updated picture of Egyptian Princess. Now I am off to stitch some more on her.

Updated picture of stitching

Well here is an updated picture of Egyptian Princess. I didn't get page 1 finished. I am almost done with it. I wanted to finish the page tonight, but my poor fingers!!!!!!! I have to say she is coming along. It is really looking nice. The beads that are in her hair are a pain. But I am not going to complain. I hope to get the page finished tomorrow night, and start on page 2.

Ariel is doing a little better, she is handling things better, than she was, but it is a long process. I have to say I am proud of her, and couldn't ask for a better daughter than her. Not saying that Miranda is not a good kid, she is. What I mean is, Ariel is a brave child and I am proud of her..

Well I am off to bed.

Weekly stitching update finally

Good morning all! I finally have a recent picture of Egyptian Princess. I am not sure if you can see it or not. But the part of the pattern that I am stitching is the bck of her head. It is coming along. I was getting a little frustrated with it, because there are so many different colors in her hair and then there are beads in the pattern, that I am stitching, and it was getting frustrating.
I got to a point that I was frogging, and wasn't thrilled with that. So I put her aside, so now I have let her sit for two weeks, and I think it is time to get to work on her. THe stitches that you see at the bottom, I did do some, but as I said, I was so tired, and frustrated with her, that I didn't want to work on her anymore.
But I want to get the first page done, and start on the second one. I can't wait to get it done. LOL. I hope I can get it done this week, or sooner.
As for life here. It has been an emotional couple of weeks here, and don't want to go into detail of it right now, I am not ready to share that in my journal, but we are working through some stuff with my oldest daughter. SHe is hanging in there, but she is having a time. The other two kids, are hanging in there too. They are a mess as usual.
Well that is it for me for this week. I hope that everyone has a good week, and do some stitching.

Non Stitching update

Sorry that it has taken me awhile to post on here. I thought that my other blog was sending my posts to this journal, but I guess not. Anyway. Things here have been very hectic, not a whole lot of time for stitching. But that is okay. I do have some pictures of my son Justin and I to show off. It is from his field day. As you can see he is kind of shy right now in the picture. He is such a mess. But that is Justin for you. He had such a good time, and so did I.
Stitching, is kind of on hold sort of. BUt not for long. I keep sitting down at night and pulling it out, and never stitching. I guess that it is good that I am pulling it out, maybe some time I will get the energy to stitch. LOL. Other than that we are hanging in there, and staying busy

WOW!!! Two posts in one week

Wow two posts in one week. I am really on the ball.

I just wanted to post a picture of a recent updated picture of Egyptian Princess. I am really smoking on this one. It is nice to have the two days off. Of course with it snowing we may even have tomorrow off. It is snowing like crazy here. I am so excited. My two younger kids, Miranda and Justin are excited. They keep looking out the window to see how much snow there is on the ground.

So I plan to sit in the house and not go anywhere today, and maybe do a movie marathon, and stitch, we will see. It all depends, if not then I will listen to my IPOD. I need to add some more songs to it. I am getting tired of listening to the ones I have. LOL.

I can't believe that this is a little of 5 percent done. I am just amazed at how fast I am going. That is a good thing, if I keeep it up, it may be done for my oldest daughter's birthday. YEah right.

NOt doing much today, except sitting in the house and enjoying the snow fall and stitching, I may even take the Christmas tree down, as I haven't done that yet. My kids are really bugging me about why I haven't taken it down yet. I just don't feel like it yet. LOL. Well I am off to get some stitching done. Have a good stitching day.

Weekly progress

I wasn't sure when the last time was that I posted an update, but here is another one. This is an updated picture of Egyptian Princess. The picture of her is in my Wish LIst. I don't think I deleted that yet. It is pretty bad when you can't remember what you have on here or what you don't have.

This is for my oldest daughter. It is Cleopatra, and she did a book report on her last year and ever since then she has been fascinated with her. I am not sure why, maybe because she is pretty or that she was a queen, not sure there. I have worked on it some more, just haven't taken a picture of it yet. But it is really coming along.

We are off from school today, so I am going to sit and stitch for the rest of the afternoon. I have cleaned the house, and everything is done, now I can sit and have some "me" time. It is so nice.

It is supposed to snow here today off and on. I am excited about that, they are saying flurries today, and tomorrow we are supposed to get an inch or so. That will be nice.

The kids are enjoying their day off, we have off tomorrow also, so maybe I can get some good stitching time in. We shall see.

Well I am off to stitch!

Stitching update

Good morning! Well I know I have been lax in posting updates and all that good stuff, sorry. Well here is an update picture of Bed and Breakfast. I am very pleased with it. I know that this is for my dad, but I am leaning on keeping this for myself. But I don't think that I will. I am busy trying to get this finished, so that I can pull out my UFO Country Comforts and also start on the one I want to do for my daughter. The Egyptian Princess. She is bugging me about it, and also my middle daughter is wanting me to do a butterfly one for her, I think I have a HAED one somewhere in my stash. IF not more SEX for me. Other than that we are just staying all nice and cozy in the house. It is supposed to snow today, so I am not going anywhere at all. I plan to finish straightening up the house and stitch away.

I also worked on Season's Greetings for a bit, but the blues were driving me crazy, so I had to put it down. BUt I will pick it back up eventually. Maybe when the Christmas stitching comes out again. Like in July. LOL.

Things here have been good. Trying to recover from Christmas, which is a good thing. The kids had a good Christmas, and so did I. We all are pleased with what everyone got.

I haven't tried the fabric dying yet, I think I am a little chicken as to trying that, but I will get my nerve up soon.

Well off to finish the household duties and then to stitch for a bit, and maybe even a nap. We will see.

Stitching update, but no picture

Wow! I feel so awful for not posting as much. But I do have a pretty big update. I have been stitching like crazy on Bed and breakfast. I am so thrilled with the way it is coming along. I haven't been able to post a picture. I will hopefully post one in the morning. I also have an updated picture of Season's Greetings. That is coming along nicely also. The blues in it are driving me crazy, but it is really coming along.

Christmas was a big thing. My kids made out like bandits this year. They got almost everything that they asked for. They were all happy. I got what I wanted this year also. I asked for a photo printer and yes, I did get one. I was very happy.

Other than that I am just trying to catch up on the stitching and my blogs.
