Clean up is such a bummer

I love Christmas, but the cleaning up is a big bummer. I really hate it. I cleaned the house, and it took me what seemed like forever. I didn't clean the girl's room, because I am afraid to go in there, not sure what I will find in there. LOL. But all the Christmas gifts are put where they need to be, and now the house smells nice. I lit some candles and now I can sit and relax for the rest of the day.

I used my gift cards, and went and bought myself some pjs and some new heels, and a nice sweater jacket. I just need to get some slacks, so I will see what I can find this week when I got to Walmart for groceries.

Well I have set my stitching goals for 2008. I have never done this before, so this should be fun and interesting. lol. We will see. I want to get some finishes done, I haven't had one in so long, so I think that it is time. So I don't think I will be getting anymore patterns for awhile. I still need to start my stitching for charity that I am doing on one of my groups. I feel bad, because I haven't found a day that I can do that. It is so hard to.

I am hoping that Country Comforts will go by fast, as I have some freebie patterns that I want to start, and do for CHristmas next year. So that will be fun. I just want to stick to what I have right now, and get those done. I also have a table runner that I want to start, but I can't find a good pattern for one. I am looking for birdhouses, I collect them, and would love to find a good pattern for that. I am still going to search for one.

Other than that, just trying to get things organized around here, and ready for the new year. Which has been so fun.

Ariel had a friend spend the night last night, and her friend got a kitten for Christmas. It is so adorable, his name is Rudy. He is the cutest thing you have ever seen. Now the girls want one, but we can't have pets.

My parents gave the kids some nice things yesterday. Ariel got a gift card, and a CD from them. Miranda got a Bratz make up kit. Just what she needed. lol. Justin got a transformer, and a gift card, all three of them got gift cards, and I got a gift card. So it was a very nice day all in all. I feel bad that I forgot the camera, I can't believe that I forgot it. Oh well, it just shows that I can have a DUH! moment.

The rest of the week, I am just going to sit and relax, and get some stitching done on Country Comforts, and then Jan 1 start my goal for 2008. I am hoping it will be a productive year.

Sorry no pictures

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas. Sorry I didn't get to take any pictures today. I needed to for scrapbooking, maybe I will take pictures of what everyone got. We went to my parents and had breakfast and then came home and watched TV and I read. I wanted to stitch, but haven't really felt like it. I did do something stitchy today. I did download some patterns that I had saved on the computer, and they are in my binder.

I have made a promise to myself to not start anything else until at least two of my projects are finished. I want to finish Country Comforts and Rose Garden, so next week, I will pull Rose Garden out and work on it, and rotate it with Country Comforts. I just hope that I can stick to it. I couldn't before, so we will see.

The girls received clothes and DVDs, and my son received toys and some clothes, he was happy, and he hasn't stopped playing with them, since this morning. I think it is cute. I am kicking myself in the butt, because I forgot to take pictures. I may have the kids put everything under the tree and I will take a picture tomorrow.

I received two gift cards from Target totaling 50.00, so that was a good thing, and I think I will go and see if I can get some clothes tomorrow, the sales should be good. I have never been able to find any clothes there for work, but we will see. I hope that I can. I need some pants, and some heels, so maybe I can clean up. We will see.

I think I can definitely get some stitching done, now that the kids are occupied with their new toys and their new things. They seem to be having fun with all of it, and that is good. I will have my fun tomorrow. Well I am off to paint my nails and then get some stitching done.

Page one is finished

Page one is finished. Wow!!!!! I am moving right along with this. I am so pleased with this. I may have set my goal to low, we will see. At this point, I am thinking that I did set it to low, but that is okay, that is something for me to work towards. I will be so pleased if I do go past my goal. This is about 17 percent done, but my bars only go by 5 percents. I am really impressed with this.

Today is going to be a quiet one around here, I am just going to sit and stitch and do a movie marathon. My family isn't coming, so it will be just me and the kids, and my parents tomorrow. So today will be a much needed stitching day.

The kids are driving me nuts. I used to let them open one present on Christmas Eve, but not anymore, so I will get them up early and then we will open presents and then off to the grandparents.

I made a desparte plea, for gift cards, for clothes, and stash enhancement. So we will see what happens. It would be so nice. I would love some more patterns and all that good stuff. I seem to do better with big projects, instead of small ones. I don't know why, but I love them. So I am pleaing with my family to give me those gift cards, so I can go and find something to stitch.

I have UFOs I need to finish, so that is my goal for this coming year is to get a lot of those finished, and then I will be happy. They are mainly angels that I started for my kids, and myself. So I think this will be fun, along with some stitching that I need to do for charity.

Well I am off to get dishes in the dishwasher and watch all 5 Harry Potters. Have a good day everyone, and Merry Christmas.

Stitching update sort of

Well today has been really quiet. I finished all the shopping. I just had to go and get stocking stuffers for the kids stockings. I am finished. I am so glad that is over with, until Tuesday.

I have been stitching today, but don't have a new picture, should have one tomorrow or after Christmas. I may just wait until after Christmas.

My boyfriend went to New York today, so we opened presents from him yesterday. My middle daughter Miranda got a Gamboy, so she was excited about that. My son got the Leapster handheld game system, so he was excited and hasn't put it down at all. My oldest got three DVD's two were horror movies. One was the remake of Halloween, let me tell you, we watched that yesterday, and that put a whole new perpespective on the Halloween movies, that I watched when i was a teenager. She also got a movie called Pulse, which I am not ready to watch yet, I told her that I wasn't ready to watch another horror movie right after watching the first one. She was disappointed.

I got an IPOD mount, for my Ipod, it has an alarm clock on it, I asked for one when I was given the Ipod on my birthday, so getting it now was a nice surprise.

We will be going to my parents house for Christmas day. The kids are ready for Christmas day, and so am I. LOL. Other than that things have been pretty steady around here.

Stitching update

I know that I just posted a picture of this a couple of days ago, but I am so please with myself on how this is turning out. I am really seeing where the quilts are. It is really coming along nicely. Sorry it is a little blurry. It wasn't blurry when I took the picture.

Christmas shopping is finished, and the kids are soooooooo ready for the break it isn't funny. The kids at school, are really ready also. I know I am, just want a vacation, I need it. It is kind of nice also, because we have all next week off and then there is a five day weekend in January, which I really am looking forward to.

I am a little worried though that the teacher will not be back, in January. She took a leave of absence and she hasn't called anyone at all to let us know if she is coming back or what. I am hoping that she is. It would really be nice. I miss her, and I know that the class misses her alot. I just feel that she is burned out, and that things are not going well for her, I just hope that she will come back, for the sake of the kids. I know that she is around, another assistant saw her today walking down the sidewalk going to the store, so we will see if she comes back or not. I hope so. I want to call her,a nd let her know about the party on Friday, and see if she is coming or not. It would mean so much to the kids. I am not going to push her, I don't want her to feel that I am.

Well off to get some stitching done.

Stitching update

I am doing pretty well with this. I think I set my goal to low for this, because if I keep stitching along, I will be past my goal. I am so excited with how this is turning out. It is really looking good. I haven't stitched on this all week, and I am very impressed with how much I have done tonight.

Other than that, I have been feeling awful for the past couple of days. I came home sick yesterday. I thought I was going to fall out. I was so sick, that I couldn't believe it. I went to work at my second job this morning, but I didn't stay the whole day which was good. I think they were a little ticked about it but that is okay. I didn't want to over do it at work.

Not feeling well this morning

I am not feeling well this morning. I didn't feel well last night either. I had class, I was fine then, but when I got ready to go to bed, I just felt sick. I think it is this cold that I am coming down with. I hope not. I really don't want to be sick.

I am trying to start my own business. Let's hope it works. LOL. It is with a company called Market America. A friend of mine is in it, and she told me that it was worth it. I did some research on it, so we will see. I am still kind of on the thinking stages of the whole thing.

I didn't get to stitch at all last night, and I don't think I will get to stitch tonight or tomorrow night. I am going Christmas shopping tomorrow night, so I don't think that stitching will be on my list of things to do.

The teacher I work with is not coming back, at least that is the rumor. I am not being told anything at all. I am kind of hoping that things will unfold and I will know.
